Environment Canada says significant rainfall is expected into tonight (sep 22).
The weather office says 50 to 60mm of rain is expected by early Thursday (sep 23) morning with a few areas potentially getting as much as 75 mm.
There is also a potential for flooding in low-lying areas.
The heavy downpours can also cause flash flooding and water pooling on the roads.
