There are now 77 active cases in South Simcoe, down 4 since Tuesday (sep 21) with 3 people now in hospital which is down 2.
The health unit still shows 84% of eligible residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 78% now fully vaccinated.
The health unit reports that from July 25th to September 18th, the rate of COVID-19 infection among the unvaccinated vaccine-eligible Simcoe Muskoka population is 12 times higher than it is for fully vaccinated population and the rate of COVID-19 hospitalizations is 54 times higher.
