Hope in High Heels has officially begun!
Men and boys are strutting the town, some in pink high heels, to raise money for Halton Women’s Place. The Manager of Development and Communications for the shelter, Carm Bozzo, says it’s great to find support – even during the pandemic.
That support seems to be all over social media, with Regional Councillor for Milton’s Ward 3 Mike Cluett taking every chance he can get to promote the event:

Another big supporter is Milton’s own Raptors Superfan, Raheem Chaudhry. The ten-year-old was a big supporter last year and will be holding his walk this year on Tuesday, September 21st at 5:00 p.m. on Costigan Road. FM 101 Milton will be attending to hear from Raheem ‘The Dream’ and see if he could get his friends to take part this year.
Bozzo explains why fundraising is so important.
Hope in High Heels is running until Saturday, September 25th. If you’d like to take part, either by walking or donating, check out the event’s webpage.
