The annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament was held at Milton’s Granite Ridge Golf Club last week.
288 golfers showed up, helping bring the net donation to $200,000. That money goes toward United Way Halton and Hamilton (UWHH), helping Milton residents and families. All in all, the tournament has raised over $3 million across 21 years.
With no closing banquet this year, the initial total was announced as $196,318 before the golfers teed off. Additional funds were added during the event. Then double Gold sponsor Mattamy Homes generously offered to ‘top up’ the total to an even $200,000. That’s an $8,000 increase from the previous best year.
