Nitro the Police Dog was called into action over the weekend following a multi vehicle collision.
South Simcoe Police were called Saturday (sep 11) afternoon after a vehicle travelling north on Sideroad 10 struck a van then crossed into the opposite lane and hit a car head-on, causing an SUV to rear end the car.
Following all the destruction, victims told police the driver of the first vehicle then got out and ran toward a wooded area.
The female driver of the vehicle was located by the K-9 Unit
She was unresponsive and carried out of the wooded area by emergency personal.
Two victims were also taken to hospital.
All injuries are considered to be non life threatening.
