School has been back in for less than a week and already 8 facilities within the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit have recorded positive COVID cases.
Five of those schools are in South Simcoe.
St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Alcona has two cases and two classrooms closed.
Alliston Union Public School has confirmed one case, one classroom is closed.
Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School in Angus has one positive case but it has not affected any classrooms.
St. Marie of the Incarnation Catholic School in Bradford has one case and one closed classroom.
And there is one case at Marguerite-Bourgeois Catholic Elementary School in Borden.
All the schools remain open.
