If you’re visiting Ontario, it’s probably a good idea to follow the rules.
It seems one out-of-province driver didn’t get that message, as the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says the driver was caught going 117 km/h in a 60-zone in Milton over the Labour Day long weekend. The post does not specify where in town it took places, but the road appears to be rural in the picture.
On top of the high speeds, the HRPS says the driver was also reportedly passing other motorists in an unsafe manner. The driver was charged, their car was towed, and their license was suspended.
Definitely not the greatest long weekend of their life, but that’s on them.
The Milton District Reponse Unit stopped this vehicle today doing 117 KM/H in a 60 KM/H zone. Vehicle was also unsafely passing other motorists. The out of province driver was charged, car towed, licence suspended. Visiting Ontario this long weekend? Please respect our laws. ^cm pic.twitter.com/JNWpgcWHU2
