If you are looking to get one last swim in before school starts, be aware a number of Innisfil beaches have been placed under a swim advisory.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has not closed the beaches but indicates bacteria levels might be high enough to cause some illness.
Beach 1 at Innisfil Beach Park, Beaches 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Innisfil Beach Park North, 9th Line Park Beach and 10th Line / Leonard’s Beach have all been placed under a swim
advisory.
The health unit warns swimmers the bacteria count may increase your risk of developing a minor skin, eye, ear nose or throat infection or a stomach illness if you dunk your
head under the water or swallow some of the water while swimming.
