A Guelph man is facing charges after he was connected to a pair of vehicle thefts.
One was stolen from Elmira in March, while the other was stolen from Halton Hills on April 2nd. The two vehicles were caught on camera at a gas station on Woodlawn Road West in Guelph on April 3rd. The man used a stolen credit card to pay for the gas and other items.
On Tuesday, May 18th, it was found that the man was already in custody at Milton’s Maplehurst Correctional Complex for unrelated matters.
The 29-year-old man was not named. He was charged with:
- possessing stolen property under $5,000;
- fraud under $5,000;
- unauthorized use of a credit card;
- failing to comply with bail; and,
- breach of probation.
He was held for a bail hearing.
