The Halton Region has released its latest COVID-19 stats.
Across Halton, there are 96 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 16,368. With 15,391 resolved cases and 218 deaths, Halton is now at 759 active cases – 19 less than Monday’s count. The Region says that of the 16,368 total cases, 15,820 were confirmed positive while 548 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 27 new cases. That brings us to 5332 total cases. With 5069 resolved cases and 45 deaths, Milton is at 231 active cases – 13 less than Monday’s number. The Region says that of the 5332 total cases, 5130 were confirmed positive while 202 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 4676 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 1657 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 236,205 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 206,702 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 7889 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 7809 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 9916 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 10,853 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 17,415 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 18,969 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 20,321 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 24,562 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 26,324 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 24,051 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 22,349 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,416 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 29,065 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 16 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 33,951 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 20,049 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 182,205 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
