Environment Canada is warning residents in Milton and the surrounding area of a frost advisory.
The following statement comes from Environment Canada regarding the night of Friday, April 30th:
“Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.
“Frost tonight into early Saturday morning.
“Frost is expected tonight as temperatures fall to near zero degrees. The frost will come to an end as temperatures warm Saturday morning.
“Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
“Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.”
So, as Environment Canada warns, cover up your plants, or bring them inside if you can.
