The Halton Police says a person-in-crisis case in Georgetown on Sunday ended in a safe manner.
A number of police resources were deployed including uniform officers, tactical officers, K9 and crisis negotiators, with the goal of bringing this incident to a safe conclusion. They all responded to the area of Mountainview and Maple Avenue. A tweet from the HRPS says it was more specifically in the Wylie Circle area, which is a street off of Stewart MacLaren Road.
Residents in the area were asked to seek shelter.
No physical injuries were reported.
There is a large police presence in the area of Mountainview/Maple in Georgetown, specifically Wylie Cl. Police request you avoid the area. ^mm
