This past weekend was the Fast with Muslims virtual event.
It was a Ramadan celebration put together to help educate residents.
Many local delegates were on the call, including Milton MP Adam van Koeverden. He’s hoping to fast at least one day over Ramadan.
Others on the call included Regional Councillors Mike Cluett and Zeeshan Hamid, as well as Town Councillor Kristina Tesser Derksen. All were were asked to speak with each giving poignant reflections on the past year and the current state of the pandemic. Councillor Tesser Derksen had a message for those choosing to socially distance during Ramadan.
