Saturday, March 20th marks the first day of spring.
Geoff Coulson is a meteorologist with Environment Canada. He says we will have a nice start to the new season.
Coulson adds that normal highs for this time of year are around plus four degrees. We will surpass that this weekend and heading into next week.
He says above normal temps could even last into May.
Coulson adds that it’s still a little too early to be looking into the summer, so for now June, July, and August will remain TBD.
The recent warm temperatures even put a stop to Milton’s local snowhill, Glen Eden. It announced on Twitter last night that it will be shutting down for the spring.
Spring officially arrives at 5:37 a.m. tomorrow morning.
