The province announced it has an additional $500 million to help Ontario’s 444 municipalities address ongoing COVID-19 operating costs.
Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Steve Clark spoke with myFM News.
He says the funds are not earmarked for specific programs.
Clark says municipalities will lead the recovery in this province and the $500 million in additional funds will go a long way in helping them do that.
Milton is receiving $1,502,534. Milton MPP Parm Gill says it’s important to help municipalities as the fight against COVID-19 continues.
“We know the global pandemic has created significant financial challenges for communities across the province and I am pleased to be a part of a government that continues to support our town during COVID-19.”
