Five people are facing impaired driving charges after being stopped in Halton.
The charges all occurred last week – one of them involved Milton.
On February 24th, just after 4:30 p.m., Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street East and Bell Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 48-year-old Milton woman was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 immediately if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
The HRPS says its officers remain committed to road safety through prevention, education, and enforcement initiatives.
