A Milton resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2020 shooting in Vaughan.
The shooting happened on Sunday, February 16th, 2020, shortly before 9:00 p.m., in the parking lot of the Promenade Mall, which is located at 1 Promenade Circle. Three people had been shot at and two of them were suffering from gunshot wounds. A 17-year-old male youth and a 30-year-old man were taken to hospital for treatment.
The report from York Regional Police says that investigators believe that one of the victims was sitting inside of a silver car and the other two victims were standing outside of the vehicle speaking to him when a masked suspect approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots, striking two of the victims. The suspect then fled northbound on foot. Both victims have since fully recovered from their injuries.
40-year-old Tomikeo Alphonso of Milton is one of eight people facing charges.
