A Milton resident and an additional young person are facing charges following a drug investigation.
At roughly 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10th, members of the Tactical Rescue Unit arrested the pair in the area of Main Street East and Drew Centre in Milton.
The Halton Regional Police Service later executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in the area of Main Street East and James Snow Parkway.
As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:
- Approximately 10 grams of cocaine;
- A loaded prohibited firearm;
- A quantity of Canadian currency;
- Other indicia of drug trafficking.
The total value of the drugs seized is roughly $1000.
22-year old Tahjai Hannay of Milton was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine and;
- Fail to Comply with Probation.
An unnamed young person was arrested and charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine;
- Fail to Comply with Youth Probation;
- Careless Transport of a Firearm;
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Firearm;
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized;
- Unauthorized Possession in a Motor Vehicle and;
- Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition.
