Do you want developers to pay more when they build here in Milton?
The Town of Milton is holding two virtual community meetings to share what it has learned about its latest Development Charges Background Studies and By-laws. It will also be taking feedback from residents during these meetings.
According to this online pamphlet provided by the Town of Milton last April, development charges are fees imposed on developers when they are looking to build in our town. There are some exceptions and not everything costs the same, but the money raised through development charges then goes back into paying for infrastructure and other services.
The first meeting was on Thursday, January 28th. The second meeting is now taking place on Thursday, February 11th at 10:00 a.m.. It will run until noon. You can watch the meeting here. If you’re interested to participate, fill out this form here.
