Three more Halton residents have reportedly died from COVID-19.
The news comes a day after the deaths of three Halton residents were reported over the weekend.
Tuesday’s deaths were Burlington (45 deaths total), Halton Hills (41), and Milton (32) residents. There have now been 177 deaths in Halton reportedly due to COVID-19.
The Milton death is connected to the Allendale outbreak. It is the fourth death in the latest outbreak at the Milton LTCH. Three were residents, while one is not yet specified. Since Sunday, January 10th, there have been 24 reported cases at Allendale. 13 are residents, two are staff members, three are unspecified, and the other six are categorized as ‘non-Halton’ cases.
Looking at the Maplehurst outbreak, there have been 274 total cases reported during this outbreak. 179 have been residents, nine have been staff members, three are currently unspecified, and 83 are categorized as ‘non-Halton’ cases. The outbreak was first reported on Monday, January 18th. It is classified as ‘Congregate Living – 37’.
Across Halton for Tuesday, February 9th, there are 53 new cases. That brings the total up to 8844 cases. With 8274 resolved cases and 177 deaths, Halton is now at 393 active cases – one more than yesterday.
In Milton, we have 15 new cases. That brings our total to 2822 cases. With 2635 resolved cases and 32 deaths, Milton is now at 154 active cases – five less than yesterday.
