In-person learning for schools in Halton will remain on-hold.
Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams has decided that both Halton and Durham will have to stick to virtually learning for the time being. The move comes after five COVID-19 hot spots – Toronto, Peel, York, Windsor-Essex and Hamilton – had already been announced to be sticking with virtually learning until at least February 10th.
The school boards in Ontario that are being allowed to reopen to in-person learning are within:
- Grey Bruce Health Unit
- Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit
- Hastings and Prince Edward Counties Health Unit
- Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Health Unit
- Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit
- Peterborough Public Health
- Renfrew County and District Health Unit
Schools in northern Ontario already reopened to in-person learning on January 11th.
