A Milton street has had its parking extended to 15-hours for the time being.
The notice was passed at Milton’s Town Council meeting on Monday night.
Signs are getting ready to be put up on Tasker Court to notify residents of the parking limit extension. It will remain in effect until residential construction begins at a field on the north-side of the street. The Town of Milton says that residents on the south-end will be notified in advance whenever the extension has been removed.
It was noted by Barb Koopmans at the Town Council meeting, after being asked by Councillor Sameera Ali, that the land is not a priority by the developer. Therefore, it could be a while before construction begins. No exact timeline was given.
The parking limit extension will allow for parking between 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m..
In the report, the Town of Milton says that once the homes have been built, residents on Tasker Court can follow-up with Traffic Engineering staff about making the extension permanent.
