The Mayor of Halton Hills is asking residents to keep their Christmas lights up.
Rick Bonnette says it will bring cheer and joy to a gloomy time.
“It’s the start of a new year and while we have every reason to be hopeful, these times remain challenging. Let’s all keep our holiday lights on to spread goodwill during this gloomy time of year as we await news on the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.”
Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz tells myFM News that he supports residents who do the same.
“Milton prides itself on being a diverse community and celebrates many faith-based holidays. However, if residents feel that continuing to keep their holiday lights up brings joy during these dreary winter months, then of course we support residents to do so.”
