The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says the new rules put in place by the province are deeply unfair and hurt small businesses.
As part of the new guidelines, most small businesses will have a pick-up and delivery curfew of 8:00 p.m..
myFM News spoke with the Federation’s Director of Provincial Affairs, Julie Kwiecinski.
She adds that small businesses are worse off now than before thanks to the new pick-up and delivery curfew.
New restricted hours of operation do not apply to stores that primarily sell food, pharmacies, gas stations, convenience stores, and restaurants for takeout or delivery. The Ford government says these new public health measures will help stop the spread of COVID-19 by reducing levels of mobility.
