The Government of Ontario and Service Ontario have finally released the most popular baby names for 2019.
It seemingly takes a while to file and record the list of popular baby names across the province as the list usually comes out a year later (ie. 2018’s list was released in December, 2019). According to Service Ontario, there were 933 baby girls named Olivia, making it the most popular girl name in the province. Likewise, there were 841 Noahs registered in Ontario, making it the top choice for boys.
The top five names for girls and boys in 2019 were:
- Olivia 1. Noah
- Charlotte 2. Liam
- Emma 3. Lucas
- Ava 4. Benjamin
- Sophia 5. Ethan
