Halton Police Chief Steve Tanner has apologized for making a trip to Florida in December.
In a statement, Chief Tanner says that although he received permission for the trip from the Halton Police Board Chair he regretted it.
He added that he will be isolating for 14 days and was unable to attend a ceremony for a Halton Police Officer who passed away suddenly on duty.
Police Chief Tanner joins a list of government officials who went against Provincial guidelines and travelled outside the country as case counts continue to climb.
