The Milton Historical Society is making a change to an annual event.
Its ChristmasFest Extravaganza will be spread out across December and will be online only.
The President of the MHS, John Challinor, says the change was spurred by COVID-19.
The items that you will be able to purchase are a wide-range of curiosities. It includes impressive coffee-table books about our town’s rich history, as well as mugs, gift certificates, and freshly blacksmithed items. There is even going to be a raffle for a gift basket.
Challinor says it’s a great way to find Christmas gifts.
He adds that the books are always a popular item because they make for great reads.
The money raised through the annual ChristmasFest Extravaganza goes towards helping maintain the Waldie Blacksmith Shop, the only privately operated urban museum in Milton.
The Extravaganza runs until Wednesday, December 23rd. Personal delivery will be available anytime.
Challinor feels the shift to holding the event across the month of December, as well as online, will be something they continue to do in the future. As we revert back to our normal post-COVID-19, whenever that will be, the Milton Historical Society will look to hold both a physical event and an online shopping opportunity.
