The Region of Halton says that four residents have died over the weekend.
Two of the deaths were Milton residents connected to Allendale. The deaths give the LTCH 18 deaths total from its outbreak, 17 residents and one that is not specified. Since November 13th, 84 cases have been reported at Allendale: 57 residents, 11 staff members, four have not been specified, and 12 are described as ‘non-Halton’ cases.
The other two deaths in Halton this past weekend were in Burlington, giving the city 23 deaths, and Halton Hills, giving the town 15 deaths. Oakville has the most among Halton municipalities with 33 deaths from COVID-19.
As for the other outbreaks in Milton, the outbreak at Milton District Hospital remains in effect. Since December 12th, there have been seven cases: five residents, and two ‘non-Halton’ cases.
Martindale’s outbreak has been ongoing since December 14th. There have been four cases, one staff member, one unspecified case, and two ‘non-Halton cases’.
The most recent Milton outbreak is at Revera Birkdale Place. Since December 16th, there have been 34 cases of COVID-19. two are staff members, and the remaining 32 are not yet specified.

Across Halton, there are 81 new cases being reported on Monday. That brings the region to 5094 total cases. With 4533 resolved cases and 94 deaths, Halton now has 467 active cases.
In Milton, we have 19 new cases. The total is now 1555 cases. With 1378 resolved cases and 23 deaths, Milton is now at 154 active cases.
