Three more Halton residents have reportedly died from COVID-19.
Two of the cases appear to have been Oakville residents, bringing the town’s total death count from the virus to 27. The other death appears to be a Burlington resident, as the city now has 19 deaths. Halton is up to 75 deaths total.
Across the region, there are 62 new cases. The total number is at 4253. With 3751 resolved cases and the 75 deaths, Halton is at 427 active cases.
In Milton, there are 12 new cases being reported today. We now have had 1271 cases total. There have been 1128 resolved cases and fifteen deaths. That brings our active case count down to 128.
Milton no longer has the highest active case count among Halton municipalities. Burlington surpassed us with 146. Oakville is right behind Milton with 127. Halton Hills has the least with 26.
At Allendale, at the time of writing, there has been no update. There have been 59 total cases reported within the building. 49 have been residents, seven have been staff members, and three are not specified as of yet. Ten people have died – all ten being residents. The outbreak has been ongoing since November 13th.
