A specific kind of halloween lights are being recalled after being considered a shock hazard.
The Danson Décor Outdoor Halloween 30 Light Set may have electrical wiring exposed on the light string, posing an electric shock hazard to the consumer.
Health Canada says that as of November 26th, the company has “received 3 reports of exposed wires in Canada, and no reports of injury.”
Only products with lot number 193 and date code 2019-04 are affected by this recall. If you don’t have the box, you can still find the date code on the white tag attached to the product.
34,968 units of the affected product were sold in Canada from August 2019 to October 2020.
Thankfully, we’ve moved into the holiday season; but, if you have this specific set, you are asked to stop using them immediately. You should bring them back to the store in which you purchased the lights for a full refund.
