A man is on the loose after an attempted robbery.
On Tuesday, November 24th, at roughly 3:45 p.m., an unknown man approached a woman sitting in her parked vehicle after shopping in the area of the Rio Centre Shopping Mall, located at 478 Dundas Street West in Oakville.
The man displayed a knife and went for the woman’s purse. After a struggle, it’s believed the man fled the area in a black SUV, possibly a Honda. No items were stolen and no injuries were sustained by the victim as a result of the incident.
The Halton Police describes the man as “brown skin, approximately 5′ 7″ tall, average build, wearing dark clothing and a surgical mask.”
It was reported that multiple people may have witnessed this incident.
