Two Milton residents have died from COVID-19.
The Region is reporting four new deaths total across Halton today, bringing the total to 58. The other deaths appear to have been Burlington (17) and Oakville (21) residents.
One of the Milton deaths is reportedly a resident at Allendale. According to the data from the Region of Halton, the other resident is not connected to the long term care home’s outbreak. The outbreak has been ongoing since November 13th. So far, 24 cases have been reported. That includes 16 residents, three staff members, and five people with unspecified roles.
There are 35 new cases being reported in Halton today, bringing the total number of cases to 3368. There have been 2789 resolved cases. Accounting for the 58 deaths, Halton has 521 active cases.
In Milton, there are 19 new cases. That brings our total to 922. There have been 714 resolved cases and six deaths. That means Milton is at 202 active cases.
Milton maintains its position as the Halton municipality with the highest active case count. Oakville has 165; Burlington has 112; Halton Hills has 42.
