Two Halton residents are facing drug trafficking charges.
A week-long investigation came to a close when the Burlington Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a Burlington home on Thursday, November 12th.
23-year old Brent Balfour of Burlington is facing:
- Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – MDMA
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
25-year old Jake Urech of Burlington is facing:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
- Breach Recognizance
- Breach Probation
The following items were seized:
- 5 grams of Purple Fentanyl
- 28.3 grams of MDMA
- 2 digital scales
- 1 cellular telephone
- $135.00 cash
- 1 folding knife
- 1 butterfly knife
$3200.00 worth of drugs was seized as a result of the search warrant (see photo above for reference).
Both parties were released on undertakings.
