(A table from the 5th annual MCRC Marketplace in 2019)
The Milton Community Resource Centre is holding its sixth annual Marketplace this weekend.
You will be help raise money for the MCRC and their free, accessible programs while shopping at 20 local vendors, artisans and crafters in a safe, physically distanced environment.
The Fundraising Lead at the MCRC, Madelyn Boelhouwer, says there are lots of things to find this year.
With COVID-19, Boelhouwer says the MCRC is taking everything into account this year. They have limited their vendors to just 20 to allow for a safe amount of people in the building, and to provide the best shopping atmosphere. She says they will be screening people at the door, masks will be required indoors, and social distancing is being asked from everyone involved.
There will be an online option this year – the first time it’s being offered. Boelhouwer says they wanted people to feel safe.
The Marketplace will be at the Southside Community Church at 200 Main Street East in Milton on Saturday, November 14th. It runs from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m..
Find the online option here. That will run until the end of November, so even if you miss this Saturday’s marketplace, you can shop online.
