A Halton resident is walking away with a few extra thousand dollars.
47-year old Patrick Gales of Burlington won $77,777 while playing INSTANT 777.
Gales says the number seven means something special to him, which is why he decided to give the new game a shot.
The IT service worker checked his ticket using the OLG Lottery App. “I burst into tears for about five minutes before I started to scream and cheer out of excitement,” he says.
Gales plans to pay some bills and put some of his win towards a down payment on a new home. “I will use what is left to celebrate with loved ones,” he says while smiling.
“This win has been an incredible and profound blessing during this difficult year.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Merchant’s Convenience on Plains Road in Burlington.
