The Milton Public Library is happy with the success of their recent book sale.
It decided to hold the sale when reviewing their items upon reopening.
The Manager of Public Services, Lee Puddephatt, says the MPL sold over 200 boxes full of books.
She adds that more than $4000 was raised for the Milton Library. That money will go back into the Library and help fund the services they provide.
The Library tends to hold book sales around Christmas every year. Puddephatt says the COVID-19 shutdown made them step-back and readjust.
She thanks the Milton community for supporting the Library through the pandemic. The Library is now open to patrons who are looking for things to keep themselves busy. They have books, comic books, audiobooks, video games, CD’s, DVD’s, and more. Puddephatt says you can stock up, with people able to take out up to 50 books at a time.
You can also use your smartphone (through the Milton Public Library’s new app) to check out books yourself. The app also has plenty of e-resources available for you to check out, in case you are too nervous to visit the Library in-person.
