The provincial government is investing $550-million to build another 20 new schools in Ontario.
It will also renovate another eight schools.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says this means 870 child care spaces and nearly 16,000 new learning spaces.
The work will be completed in 2020 and 2021 and is part of the government’s efforts to improve and modernize schools.
Milton’s Town Council recently approved a phase for a new Halton Catholic District School Board school to be built in the area of “Louis St. Laurent Avenue to the north and the future Kennedy Circle extension to the west.” myFM News will have more on that decision in the coming days.
