The group behind the fight against the Campbellville Quarry is asking for residents to sign a petition.
In their latest newsletter, ACTION Milton says they want to keep Premier Doug Ford and Milton MPP Parm Gill on the ball when it comes to fighting the quarry. In June, myFM News asked the Premier in-person where he stands on the quarry. He stated that he was against it because the people of Milton and Campbellville are against it. ACTION Milton says, “we must keep the issue at the forefront for MPP Parm Gill and insist that he keep the community informed on the actions he is taking to fulfill the promise to stop the quarry.” They add, “we must remind the Mayor and Council to continue to engage MPP Gill and Premier Ford to follow up on their commitment. The recent letter from Milton Town Council asking the Premier to share with Council his plans to permanently stop the Campbellville quarry is an important first step.”
