A youth worker is facing charges for sexual assault.
On Tuesday, September 29th, following a joint investigation between the Halton Regional Police Service and the Children’s Aid Society, police arrested and charged 24-year old Elizabeth Lopresti of Mississauga.
She is a staff member at the Syl Apps Youth Centre in Oakville, where the offences took place. According to the Halton Police, Lopresti was suspended from her position at the beginning of the investigation.
She was charged with:
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Exploitation
- Breach of Trust
The victim was a youth resident.
Lopresti was released on a Promise to Appear in a Milton Provincial Court on Tuesday, November 3rd.
