It’s the biggest fentanyl seizure in the history of the Halton Police.
‘Project Mover’ found more than $4 million in fentanyl and over $300,000 in cash. Also seized were other drugs, guns, and a stolen vehicle.
The bust took place across six residences in the GTA, including a home in the area of Burloak Drive and Lakeshore Road in Oakville. You can see a picture of where the search warrants were executed down below.
Deputy Chief Jeff Hill puts the drugs into perspective.
The official seizure included:
- 10.25 kilograms of fentanyl
- 1 kilogram of cocaine
- 6 kilograms of a suspected controlled substance (identification of substance pending analysis)
- 1.25 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine
- $307,065 Canadian currency
- Semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun
- .40 calibre handgun with an extended clip
- Stolen 2019 Dodge Durango
- 2016 Acura RDX
The Halton Police did not provide any estimates as to what the unnamed controlled substance might be. The fentanyl was not on the table at the press conference for, “safety reasons.” A picture taken of the fentanyl by the Halton Police can be seen down below. The stolen Durango was placed outside the police station for pictures. A picture of it can also be seen down below.
