The annual event, Culture Days, invites you to take part in its many hands-on activities.
Due to COVID-19, they will be offered either digitally or outdoors across Milton. According to Arts Milton, the Milton Culture Days has been ranked within the top ten Canadian cities for numerous years running for the quality and quantity of activities offered.
Milton Mayor Gordon Krantz even proclaimed the next month as Culture Days in Milton.

Digital Activities:
Song Making Deconstructed: Learn how to make a song from scratch using loops and more! LostsOfficial will teach you all the tips and tricks you need to know to make an amazing professional song.
CRASH Rhythm Virtual Bucket Drumming Workshop: Join Hilary Whiskin online for a virtual bucket drumming workshop. Make your own drumset at home and learn how to become a Rock Star using spoons, buckets and much more!
Coding with Scratch by e2 Young Engineers: Young Engineers will learn to code with scratch! Students will learn the importance of coding and then complete a LEGO-themed coding project using Scratch.
Indian Folk Art: Madhubani Inspired Bird: Madhubani painting has its origins in the North Indian region of Bihar. The art form is one of the oldest and most famous for their tribal motifs and use of bright colours – create your own piece with artist Aparna Rangnekar!
Outdoor Activities:
Arts Milton Annual Community Project: Artists Aparna Rangnekar and Angela Ferguson have designed and built three 5-6 feet wooden trees. The sculptures will be installed on Main Street for the public to decorate on Sept 26 + 27, 2020 11 am to 3 pm.
Arts Milton + PFLAG Halton Outdoor Mural: Arts Milton is working with PFLAG Halton and artist JR Marr who will design a colourful mural to be installed on the south facing wall of 16 Hugh Street. Visitors can watch the artist paint on the first weekend of Milton Culture Days Sept 26 + 27, 2020 9 am to 1 pm.
Arts Milton Curbside Concerts: Arts Milton will replicate their successful Summer Days / Summer Nights curbside concerts for one night only during Milton Culture Days. “The Vaudevillian” play 1930’s jugband tunes and will travel to three separate street-side locations over the course of one evening – Sept 26, 4-6 pm.
Milton Photo Challenge with Martin Creative Lens Canada: Local photographer Martin Borisov will inspire and challenge Miltonians by photographing Milton highlights and inviting the community to do the same. We want to see all of the different perspectives!
Culture Days begins today (Friday, September 25th) and runs until October 25th.
