A notice on the window of the Milton St. Louis Bar & Grill (located at 604 Santa Maria Blvd.) has appeared confirming three COVID-19 positive cases.
All three cases were employees.
The restaurant has since closed to, “complete an additional, comprehensive deep-clean and thorough sanitization of the premises.”
The restaurant stresses that they are permitted to stay open through this process but have made the decision to close, “out of an abundance of caution.” St. Louis says the cases are not related, and, “because of our stringent health and safety protocols, any potential exposure to guests, or fellow St. Louis team members is extremely low.”
The notice says the first day of business for dine-in and patio will be Saturday, September 19th. This puts the closure at nearly two-weeks ago. St. Louis issued a notice of the closure on their Facebook page on the night of Monday, September 14th. One Facebook user commended the restaurant for closing despite meeting public health guidelines necessary to remain open.
If you have any concerns, you should contact your local public health department to speak with a health professional.
