EddieO’s PourHouse & Kitchen is holding their annual golf tournament this month.
Owner Eddie Oliveira says the funds raised will be going to the Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton.
The Children’s Aid Foundation of Halton is a charity that Oliveira holds very close to his heart. He says as a father he understands the importance of making sure that every child has the opportunity to experience the most of life. He wants to make sure he gives back as much as he can, adding that an annual golf tournament is the least he can do as a local business owner and member of the Milton community.
With the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing, Oliveira says they will make the best of the situation.
Health and safety protocols are being taken to ensure everyone’s safety. The tournament has been limited to just 72 players. As the owner of a restaurant, Oliveira is accustomed to spacing customers out to allow for space. There will not be a shotgun start, but rather, participants will follow tee times. The lunch and dinner aspect of the day will also see participants spaced out, as well.
Oliveira updates how things have been adjusting to Stage 3 and having customers enter his restaurant.
There’s been talk regarding the Government of Ontario enforcing another shutdown. If a shutdown were to happen, or were Ontario to move back a Stage, we will check in with Oliveira to see how his business is handling the shift.
The EddieO’s PourHouse & Kitchen Golf Tournament will be on Tuesday, September 29th at Lionhead Golf and Country Club.
