The Halton Regional Police Service is reporting that a distracted driver was caught.
The catch? The vehicle was a school bus.
In a tweet, the Halton Police says the bus had 16 children on board. The driver was caught on their cellphone in the area of Trafalgar Road and Briarhall Gate in Oakville. The area was also considered an active construction zone.
The Halton Police is conducting Project Safe Start for the rest of the week.

The bus driver has been charged and the company has been notified through CVOR.
