The Mills BBQ is now open in Milton.
Their Grand Opening was a part of the Milton Food Truck Plaza on Saturday, September 12th. The new food truck offers plenty of delicious, Texas-style BBQ with a Milton-twist.
It was a busy day for the business. With live music, dancers, and a ribbon cutting, Milton residents had a lot to take-in while getting their food.
Mills BBQ Co-Owner Brenden Wilson is happy with how the day turned out.
The Mills BBQ is a part of the Chef Melani-restaurant brand. Melani Bastians also owns the Green Eatery, Cup of Love, and runs the Milton Food Truck Plaza.
She’s excited to see the support from the community.
There was a 50/50 draw held at the Grand Opening. The Mills BBQ donated 5% of their 50% of the proceeds to RE:SOUL Youth Centre in Milton. They are continuing to look for charities to support as the year moves on. If you’re a non-profit organization looking to raise some funds, reach out to them at miltonfoodtruckplaza@gmail.com.
Developer at RE:SOUL Michael Burns talks about the importance of local businesses going out of their way to support charities.
The money will help run the only dedicated youth centre in Milton.
You can find The Mills BBQ and the Milton Food Truck Plaza at 230 Mary Street in Milton. The Food Truck Plaza has one more food truck, Food Farmacy.
The Plaza is open throughout the week but residents can continue to expect live performances from Rick Imus and his Studio.
