Milton residents can enjoy the Milton Food Truck Plaza this weekend.
It will also be the Grand Opening for The Mills BBQ. It’s expected to be Texas-style barbeque with a Milton-twist.
Co-owners Melani Bastians and Brenden Wilson tell you what you can expect from the Grand Opening.
Another co-owner, Travis Mayhew, says there will be a 50/50 Draw. The Mills BBQ will be donating 5% of their portion of the 50/50 draw to RE:SOUL Youth Centre in Milton. They’re a youth drop-in centre dedicated to serving struggling youth in Milton and the Halton-area. The Mills BBQ are hoping the winner of the draw will do the same!

Wilson says both The Mills BBQ and the Milton Food Truck Plaza are dedicated to giving back to Milton charities and businesses.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner of three local food providers (Green Eatery, Cup of Love, and Milton Food Truck), Bastians credits the Facebook Group, Milton Strong, for being a major factor in her businesses staying afloat during COVID-19. She says a lot of her friends in other areas have unfortunately seen their stores and shops close, but due to the Milton community, her stores are running ‘Strong’.
The Milton Food Truck Plaza will open up at 11:00 a.m. at 230 Mary Street, near Town Hall.
The Mills BBQ Grand Opening will kick off at 1:00 p.m., with a ribbon cutting at 2:00 p.m..
