Don’t call it a comeback – they’ve been here for months, virtually, that is.
The Milton Breakfast Club is returning to physical gatherings this week.
They’ve been holding the event virtually since the pandemic began.
Milton Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Scott McCammon, says it’s designed to be safe.
He adds that it will be similar to a restaurant where guests will be seated while masked.
With networking events, guests are asked to introduce themselves to the room. McCammon says that people will remain masked until it is their turn to speak to the room, in which case they can stand up and unmask.
While we trudge our way through the various stages and phases of the recovery of a pandemic, McCammon feels we could be looking at the future of networking – or at least, for now.
Another recent networking event held by the Chamber was their annual golf tournament. It was one of the first major gatherings of its kind in Milton post-COVID.
McCammon called it a big success.
The Milton Breakfast Club’s first non-virtual gathering ‘in a long time’ will be held from 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9th. It will be at Southside @ Main, located at 200 Main Street East.
Tickets are $20+HST for Chamber members, and $30+HST for non-members. Click here for more.
The event will be held every second Wednesday of the month.
