Get ready to park in your driveway or garage again.
The Town of Milton is bringing back parking bylaw enforcement.
The Town Councillor for Ward 4, Sameera Ali, is hoping residents will be ready.
She has a message for listeners.
Councillor Ali adds that other municipalities and regions have already begun re-enforcing parking bylaws.
Locally, she’s heard a lot from residents and bylaw enforcement officers.
Parking bylaw enforcement will return to Milton on September 1st.
Some of the things you will no longer be able to do is park overnight or for more than five hours in one-spot during the day.
If you have any questions, you can check online here to read up on the Town of Milton parking bylaws.
There are some exceptions to the bylaws. Some neighbourhoods have applied for exemption status for select streets. You can read up on that process here.
The Town of Milton also allows for up to 18 uses per license plate per year of temporary street parking exceptions. This allows you to park overnight or on the street for more than five hours once per use. It’s ideal for family or friends visiting. Click here to apply.
