An eighth generation farmer from Milton, Jessica McCann is only 22 years but has been around agriculture and farming for her entire life. She has been farming with her family, and says that one of the biggest misconceptions of farmers is a generalization of what they do. She says that it’s an extremely diverse industry and encourages people to explore it as much as they can. In the interview below McCann also talks about some exciting new technology that they get to use, why she loves to farm, and some ideas that both the federal and provincial can do to help farmers in Ontario.
