The Milton Education Village Secondary Plan is gaining ground.
The Town of Milton has scheduled a virtual statutory public meeting for a proposed draft Local Official Plan Amendment regarding the village.
The purpose of this amendment is to bring forward a Secondary Plan for the Milton Education Village.
The proposed draft Secondary Plan includes policies with detailed land use permissions to facilitate a mixed-use complete community and innovation district anchored by a post-secondary education campus. A number of background studies have been prepared to support the Secondary Plan.
The Regional Councillor for Ward 1, Colin Best, gives all the details about the proposed village.
Councillor Best says a university is not out of the question.
